November 4th. Drove I-95 to Rt. 287 to White Plains. Found the cannon that was used to prevent British troops from advancing further almost exactly 250 years ago to the day. Drove home along Rt. 1 (Post Road) and saw a marker at a home where Israel Putnam hid out in. Also saw black squirrels (they're cute). I'll go back to that home another day. Also saw where the Westport Country Playhouse is and the road to take down to Compo Beach where the British landed on their way to burn Danbury in the Rev. War. Will go back there another day when I have more time.
